This is where I live. The Hockerton Housing Project (HHP) is the UK's first earth sheltered, self-sufficient ecological housing development. It consists of five houses on a 26 acre site.

We generate our own clean energy from two wind turbines and photovoltaic panels as well as harvesting water for all our needs.
